The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry is a system that was designed to keep track of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) and their Origination Companies. It allows consumers to gain information about the Loan Officers and Lending Institutions that they choose to work with. Each MLO is licensed with the NMLS and is assigned a unique identifier know as a NMLS ID#.
